Andis 63970 pet clipper is lighter by 20%, smaller by 1% and faster by 15% compared to other pet clippers. The 4 x 4 blade drive allows 25% more blade torque. The locking blade hinge keeps the blade secure.

There are dozen of online reviews which are mostly positive for Andis 63970 pet clipper. It does what it should, is quiet in use and the price is just right. It seems to have enough power to cope with heavy undercoat without overheating.

It provides excellent balance in the hand, plenty of power, and doesn’t get hot easily. This Andis pet clipper is high in quality and works wonderfully. This one works like a charm.

Some users were a bit disappointed with this pet grooming clipper though. One user claimed that Andis 63970 gets so hot after about 10 minutes with the blade that came with it, the ceramic one, and it wouldn’t even clip the dog’s coat.  The pet grooming clipper does get very hot on the actual blade and you have to stop clipping to let it cool down since that was so close to the dog’s skin.
